FEATURES OF THE SSW (SPECIFIED SKILLED WORKER) VISA — JAPAN
The Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) Visa enables foreign nationals to work legally in Japan in industries facing workforce shortages. CATEGORIES OF SSW VISA
Japan provides two residence categories under the Specified Skilled Worker program.
■ SSW Type (i)

■ SSW Type (ii)
This category applies to workers with advanced professional skills, allowing extended employment opportunities and the possibility of bringing family members to Japan, subject to certain conditions.
